On the 10th day of this month, marked a very special day in my life, my one year anniversary as an entrepreneur.
To say this has been an easy and fun journey would be the complete opposite of the truth. It has been a journey unlike anything I have experienced, but through the good and the bad that I went through this past year I was blessed to experience GROWTH.
Through the many lessons that I have learned on this journey like growing my relationship with God, learning how to communicate effectively with others, and time management one of the main take away’s or AHA’s that I have learned and carry with me as I move forward is one of the best things we can do for ourselves is recognise that we have a unique quality about ourselves that no one else out of over 7 billion people possess.
Think about it… out of that many people that live on this planet, no one else will ever be YOU.
That is powerful and an affirmation in itself, whether you turn it into a positive or negative affirmation is up to you.
Here are some tips to turn your own qualities about you into a positive affirmation:
Step 1: Take a hard look at yourself in the mirror.
The longest relationship you are going to have is with yourself so get use to you and if you don’t already, starting loving who you are.
Find something about you that you like, it could be a physical feature, a personality trait or even the way you laugh.
Everything about you counts, whichever trait you find about you that you like OWN IT!
Step 2: Forgive yourself.
We all go through through rough experiences as we go through life period, its not a competition if yours was worse then your neighbours because what you went through is designed for you to reach the next stage.
In order to get there, you CANNOT play the victim, take responsibility for your wrongs and move forward.
Step 3: Say what you like about yourself to yourself.
Let’s say for example you pick your smile, instead of picking something you don’t like and repeating it like “Ugghh my arms are flabby”, say to yourself “Oooo my smile is gorgeous!”
You think you can do that? Start kicking it up a notch!
Start saying “I am beautiful”, I am strong”, “I am smart”, “I am healthy!”
If you do these successfully guess what?
You are successfully practicing positive affirmations!

While on this journey I learned to appreciate myself because every quality that I found I liked about me is apart of me. I AM….Me!
Challenge yourself and do at least three positive affirmations everyday before you start on any other task you do throughout the day, make it a priority!
Because you should be making yourself a priority.
When I pray in the morning and thank God for another day I go right into my daily affirmations, it will boost your mood, your confidence and your self-esteem all while discovering good qualities about yourself.
If you stay consistent I promise you won’t regret it!
