EP01: Pursuing Your Passion with Emily Formea
Often in life we conform with societies “way of doing things”. We get told to get a good education, to get a good job to get a good pension and well… then the obvious happens… death!
Throughout this whole way of what is supposed to be called “living”, we lose sense of who we are. We lose sense of our passions, purpose, what we are good at, what we stand for and our uniqueness.
We work jobs we don’t like, don’t truly pursue our goals or dreams and don’t step into our greatness and unlock our true potential from the fear of being different or all of the other stories we make up in our minds.
The truth is we all have passions, and we all can turn those passions in our passion, a vocation and lifestyle where we are contributing to the world in a meaningful way and unlock our true potential.
We don’t have to do what our parents want us to do, what society tells us to do or what we even think we have to do – we just need to do what makes us happy and sets our souls on fire.
It’s different, and you will be judged. Sometimes from the people who are closest too you. But, get this, that’s a reflection of them and not you.
It’s time to be different, it’s time to pursue your passions and live the life you know you capable of. And, in this episode of the Grow2Gether podcast, we’re joined by Wellness Blogger & Coach Emily Formea as we dive into her journey of pursuing her passions, how she got started and the challenges she has faced along the way.
Top points from this episode:
- We all have passions and when we say (or think) that we don’t it’s more that we are fearful that it won’t resonate with someone else.
- In order to “find” your passion envision what you would do and how you would spend your time with no regards or judgements from anyone else.
- Stop doing what you think you have to do, what your parents want you to do or what anyone else says you should do and focus on doing what makes you happy.
- Understand others will judge you, even those closest to you but that’s a reflection of them and not you.
- Plus, much much more!
